What you can find
How it all started
Told by Egor Urvanov, founder of Jaiora
- People2016 and earlierAt MAI and other communities I worked with people a lot: gathering, teaching, organizing, making mistakes.
- GetMentor2022Became the top-1 mentor on GetMentor. There I understood how important networking and working with people are.
- Leaving2022In 2022 many people suddenly fell in love with travel. I left too, to Bangkok.
- Failure2023The first community I built around my condo fell apart.
- HypothesisI did not give up. I believed relocation is easier when someone meets you at the new place.
- Bangkok ITThe second attempt worked: I created Bangkok IT.
- Work and a name2024Through the community I found a job, people started to recognize me and invite me to podcasts.
- Word of mouthIn Da Nang a stranger came up to me: “My friend from Cyprus knows you.” I knew neither of them, and I have no community in Cyprus. The word spread on its own.
- Growth2025New communities appeared. We doubted whether it was needed in cities without expats. Moscow and Saint Petersburg showed it is.
- MovesPeople started moving from city to city. Recently in Batumi we sat at one table with folks from Bangkok.
- Jaiora2026The communities grew into Jaiora, we are already 10,000 people. We want anyone to find a person for their task or goal and meet them in person.
- Goal202730 cities, 30,000 people worldwide and our own networking tool: an offline LinkedIn that, given a task or goal, tells who in the community can help.

What does the Jaiora logo mean?
The mark shows people who have ended up in the same room. They are all different: some are already close, some have just arrived, and no one stands above the rest. One line curves around them from below and holds them close. For each of them it is the right person who exists for any task, and for all of them together it is a community that looks after its own. The line ends in the curl of the Thai letter «จ» from «ใจ» (jai), “heart”, which gave Jaiora its name. Green is the colour of things that grow on their own when people trust each other.
